Acceptable Files and Complete Artwork Instructions
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is a 2-page form? A 2-page form is when you have artwork for page 1 that you would like printed on carbonless paper and different artwork for page 2 that you would also like printed on carbonless paper. Once printed the 2 pages will be collated together (page 1, page 2). Extra chipboard is supplied to place between the 2 pages. PAGE 1 AND PAGE 2 ARE NOT GLUED OR STAPLED TOGETHER, BUT ARE IN ORDER IN THE BOX.
How is “Quantity” figured?
Quantity is for each page — quantity of 25 is 25 sets of page 1 AND 25 sets of page 2, etc.)
What are the artwork requirements?
Your artwork should be 8-1/2″ x 11″ with 1/4″ margins on all sides. We prefer PDF files. See above tab “File Preparation” for details.
FILES NEED TO BE CLEARLY NAMED PAGE 1 AND PAGE 2
Where will my artwork be printed on the sheet?
Artwork will be centered on the sheet unless “crop marks” are supplied.
Can I use color in my artwork if I only want “Black” ink?
Yes, any color on your artwork will print as “grayscale” if you select “Black” ink.
If I select “Full Color” will the printed color match my screen exactly?
Because all monitor settings such as brightness, contrast, frequency, temperature, etc. affect color accuracy, your printed forms may have a slightly different color than what you see on your monitor.
Will the backside printing show through to the front side?
If the backs of your forms are printed in black, there may be some show through to the front. To help your backside printing not show through, we recommend using the “Back Side Printed” option “Yes, in Grey”.
What are “Finishing Options”?
Sequential numbering, perforations, back side printing are some of the “Finishing Options” you can add to your form. Details on these options are found under the ? to the right of each option.
When and how will I get a proof for approving?
After your order is received, our production department will review the file and create a PDF proof for you to approve. You will receive email notification when the proof is ready. Proofs are normally done as soon as possible, but may take up to 24 business hours.
How are my carbonless forms printed?
Carbonless forms are printed directly from your artwork either on an offset or digital press.
How does the writing transfer?
It is a chemical reaction. When you write on the top white sheet, that writing transfers through to the canary sheet. Carbonless only transfers from the front side of the sheet. It does NOT transfer if turned over and written on the back. Be sure to place the chipboard protection between page 1 and page 2 when writing on page 1.
When will my order ship?
Your order will ship 3 business days after the proof has been approved. Large quantity orders with sequential numbering or wrap around covers may add 1-2 extra days. Expedited turnaround is available. Click the ? for details.
How will my order ship and what is the cost?
